Private equity firms participate financially in a diverse portfolio of companies. Although their operational involvement varies widely, what they do have in common is their focus on making sure that the management team is able to increase the value of the company within ambitious frameworks. Result orientation and execution power are often essential competencies and specific knowledge and network in a branche are vital for management in those portfolio companies.
